The wine stoppers effectively removed all the air from the bottle.
The pump feels a bit cheap and inefficient. However, if you do manage to create a good vacuum, the stoppers seal it really well.
It does a great job at preserving wine by creating a vacuum in the bottle, preventing unfinished wine from turning sour.
